Women's belt size guide

Women's Belt Size Guide

Use this US women's belt size guide to choose the right fit before you shop. It shows how to size a belt for a woman, when to size up, and what width works best for dresses versus jeans.

How to size a belt for a woman

Start with your waist size or a belt that already fits well. In most cases, the safest starting point is a belt around 1 to 2 inches larger than your pants waist so the strap closes near the middle hole instead of the first or last.

What belt width works best for women?

Dress width
1.25 in (32 mm)
Usually best for dresses, tailored trousers, and other cleaner, more polished outfits.
Casual width
1.5 in (38 mm)
Usually best for jeans, skirts, and everyday casual wear where a slightly wider strap feels more natural.

How to measure belt size at home

Measure a belt you already own from the buckle to the hole you use most often, or measure where you plan to wear the belt.
Match that number to the nearest range in the chart, then choose the corresponding US belt size shown on the Beltoria product page.
If you are between two sizes, the larger US size is usually the safer fit.
